An extraordinary story of students from one class. Together they learn, play, hooligan, enter adulthood. They dream of being a flyer, a doctor, a movie star. They read Sienkiewicz's Trilogy. They go to movies with Chaplin. They listen to jazz. Why did a boy who cut out a heart of paper and write a love poem, tie his friend a few years later with a string and threatened to shoot him if he tried to run away? What happened that nationality, religion and ideology were more important than friendship? When was the Alien seen in the school desk colleague? What happened to that class? A tale of twentieth-century Poland inspired by real events.
