To live with art - this is how you can define the goal that the oomph.apartments team has set itself. Their initiative is active in Warsaw, Wrocław and (soon to be) Berlin. They call themselves hospitality enthusiasts. Apart from short-term rental of originally furnished apartments in old tenement houses, oomph.apartments focuses on art and invites artists to their interiors. Everyone can come to their exhibitions, meetings, as with an unannounced visit to their neighbour. Thanks to the oomph.apartments initiative, art goes beyond the institutional galleries and will settle in the area. It is possible to commune with it in the place for which it was intended, in the four walls of the home, in a casual atmosphere of a social meeting. The first exhibitions and meetings focused on young artists from Warsaw. Since July 2018, 11 pop-up events have taken place as part of the exhibitions at oomph.apartments, at which several hundred works were presented. Each such vernissage is the only and unique opportunity to visit a temporary gallery and see the works while sitting on a comfortable sofa or tasting a craft beer at the kitchen counter - like at home.
