A cat is known to have seven lives: Miss B. also. The nearly one-hour visual comedy tells in seven scenes the story of a lady whose dreams are proverbial foams. This delicate creature, not particularly petted by fate, is often close to carrying itself on its journey through the here and now into the hereafter. So the piece begins logically in complete darkness, from which Miss B. suddenly appears, accompanied by the rattle of an invisible train and surrounded by swaths of a steam locomotive. Miss B., a middle-aged woman who has obviously had better times, is a melancholy, tragicomic and (even) ironic figure.

She wears a black knitted hat with a beige fabric flower and a nice, but already getting old evening dress and a matching bag for this outfit. A pink feather boa lays around her neck like a royal frill. They are props that suggest that Miss B. must have once been a distinguished and attractive lady, who was upset, pampered, admired and desired in the best of circles. There is little left of the former glory: a birdcage and a suitcase as a faithful companion of the journey to the goals that have become unattainable, such as love and happiness. Time and again dreamed, hoped for and aspired to in life, but not given to every person on a permanent basis.
