About OvO

OvO is an Italian duo formed in 2000 by Stefania Pedretti (vocals, guitar, bass, field recordings) and Bruno Dorella (drums, electronics, synths). They create music that is difficult to identify – there’s deafening nods to noise rock or extreme metal, but also subtle electronics and disorientingly quiet folk-like passages. They cite Swans and Diamonda Gallas as influences, and have played with Thurston Moore, Jim O’Rourke, Lightning Bolt or KK Null.
