For the first time in Poland it will be possible to see the works of Patricia Piccinini, a world-renowned Australian sculptor, including sculptures from the Venice Biennale presented with great success. The organiser of the exhibition entitled. Patricia Piccinini. That's us! is the Art of the World Foundation, founded in 2006 by the director David Lynch and the director of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival Marek Żydowicz, who is the curator of the exhibition. The artist's sculptures, installations and video presentations will be on display at the Centre for Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu in Toruń, and the exhibition will take up approximately 2000 m2. Interestingly, one of the works will have its world premiere at the exhibition in Toruń.

Patricia Piccinini (born 1965) has for years aroused great interest, discussion and enthusiasm in her art all over the world. Her magical, disturbingly bizarre, hyper-realistic sculptures act on senses, force the viewer to question, and arouse controversy. Large-format installations combine currents of science fiction, natural science and feminism. The Toruń exhibition will take viewers on an extraordinary journey through a series of colourful scenes in which her hybrid creatures find each other in various everyday situations. Patricia Piccinini uses silicone, fibreglass, nylon, plastic and human hair to create her realistic-futuristic narratives that address important issues of contemporary existence, climate and technology. In doing so, she achieves extremely realistic expression in sculptures that never leave the viewer indifferent.
