About Rafał Stępień
Rafał Stępień – pianist, composer, producer, arranger. A graduate of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music of the Academy of Music in Katowice. Winner of many festivals and competitions in Poland and abroad: Jazz nad Odrą 2006b (Grand Prix), KFPS in Cracow 2006 (award for the best instrumentalist), Fama 2004 (award for the best instrumentalist), Gdynia Summer Jazz Days 2002 (1st place), Jazz Juniors 2002 (2nd place). He has collaborated with, among others, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra: Lora Szafran, Carmen Moreno, Anna Serafińska, Ewa Uryga, Aga Zaryan, and others: Marilla Rodowicz, Zbigniew Wodecki, Ryszard Rynkowski, Mieczysław Szcześniak, Jorgos Skolias. Music director and arranger of the performance Singing Jazz with Carmen Moreno, Anna Serafińska and Maciej Zakrzewny. In 2012 he started cooperation with world-renowned producers from Canada, including Marc Lafrance, Bob Rock, Randy Staub.
