Rhapsody of Fire is an Italian legendary symphonic metal band created in Trieste in the mid-1990s. They released their first albums under the name of Rhapsody and played originally as Thundercross. Their debut album Legendary Tales (1997) and the second release Symphony Of Enchanted Lands (1998) had a significant impact on the metal scene thanks to a unique blend of power metal, baroque and classical elements, opera choirs and film orchestrations. The band quickly won fans, and the first five albums (which sold in over a million copies in total) established Rhapsody of Fire as one of the most popular metal artists in the world. In 2019 their latest album The Eight Mountain, which is the first chapter of the new saga entitled The Nephilim's Empire was released. The voice on the album was lent by Christopher Lee.
