Roman Patočka is a Czech violinist.
He has appeared as a soloist with renowned orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad (Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic, Navarre Symphony Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonic, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia), and has worked with such figures as Jiří Bělohlávek, Vladimír Válek, Jakub Hrůša, Tomáš Netopil, Martin Lebel and Georg Fritzsch. He has performed Janáček’s Wandering of a Little Soul with the Brno Philharmonic, conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras, while he has also cooperated with the Berg Orchestra on the world premiere of Bohuslav Martinů’s Czech Rhapsody for Violin and Orchestra. He is a member of the Eben Trio.
