In the year of Polish Romanticism, on the occasion of Children's Day, the Theatre Institute will remind us of two miniatures selected from Hoffman's "Komedyjki": "Odwet" and "Wesele Marysi i Jasia", adapted by Iwona Rusek.

This time the reading from the cycle Romanticism. From-reading is also organised with the youngest audience in mind. Although the line-up of Romantic authors is strongly masculinised, the cycle Romanticism. De-reading could not miss a woman. Klementyna Hoffmanowa née Tańska (1798-1845) was Mickiewicz's peer, a writer and teacher, the first woman in the history of Polish culture to make a living from her own creative work. In the periodical Rozrywki dla dzieci, which she published, she published a cycle of dramatic miniatures for the youngest readers, entitled Komedyjki. In the year of Polish Romanticism, on the occasion of Children's Day, we shall recall two miniatures selected from Hoffmanowa's Komedyjki: Odwet and Wesele Marysi i Jasia, directed by Jerzy Machowski and adapted by Iwona Rusek. Both adult and child viewers are invited to the reading and the conversation that will follow, on 2 June at 19:00.
