Almost 300 of Salvador Dali's graphic works enclosed in over a dozen series. Among them are true rarities such as the illustrations from the series Alice in Wonderland or The Divine Comedy. The exhibition is complemented by three-dimensional works included in a collection of prescriptions for immortality and an extravagant medical trunk. Most of the works were created during the twentieth century (1955-1975), but two cycles from the 1930s are also on show. The exhibition traces the different styles in which the Catalan created his works, from monochrome representations subject to the rules of printmaking to painterly scenes. All the works on display are signed and come from a private collection.

Salvador Dalí is one of the most recognisable artists of the 20th century. He was sometimes perceived as an extreme eccentric. He was born in 1904 in Figueres, Catalonia. In 1921, he began his studies at the Royal Academy of Art in Madrid. He was expelled twice and never took the final exams. In 1928, he moved to Paris. Through the intercession of Joan Miró, he became a member of the Surrealist group. Dalí soon became a prominent figure in this group. During the years of the Second World War, he settled in the United States. In addition to creating highly impressive paintings, Dalí also attracted media attention. In 1948, he and his muse Gala returned to Europe. In 1974, Dalí opened a museum he designed, the Teatro Museo Dalí, in his hometown of Figueres. He died there in 1989. In addition to his paintings, his best-known works include prints collected in thematic series.
