Seks po krakosku is a daring comedy set in early 20th century Krakow. It makes a tongue-in-cheek reference to Stanisław Kurkiewicz, the first Polish sexologist, who used to see patients in his clinic at 21 Starowiślna Street, which is exactly where the stage of the Contemporary Theatre in Krakow is now located. The plot of the play, saturated with Krakow's Young Poland, refers to the work of Wyspiański, the paintings of Malczewski, or the figure of Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński (one of the play's protagonists). The merry adventures of three friends are full of situational and verbal humour, set in the period's atmosphere.
