About Slow Crush
An abrasive shoegaze band, dealing with the aesthetics of contrasting sounds. Heavy like a gloomy dream yet soothingly vibrant. The vulnerable soft floating voice of Manchester's Isa Holliday underneath layers of grungy shoegaze soaked noisepop creates the aesthetic of seeking shelter from a twisted world. Slow Crush toured all over Europe and the USA (160 plus shows in 2019-2020) after releasing their successful 2018 debut full length Aurora. They sold out multiple pressings and shows in both continents and Stereogum called it … one of the best shoegaze albums I’ve heard in a good long time. It’s fucking phenomenal. They have also been labelled as one of the 21 hottest live bands by Kerrang!.
