Formed in 2015 in Wrocław, Poland, Spaceslug are three guys who used to contribute to the bands Palm Desert and Legalize Crime, later deciding to tell some stories with a cosmic, mystical and dreamy vibe together, dressing them up in robes sewn of stoner metal and doom heaviness. They have three EPs and four studio albums to their name, the most recent being 2021's Memorial.
The Swedish trio Maha Sohona describe their space/stoner rock ouvre simply as chilled out fuzz rock. This seems apt: not only does the band's sound evoke the mellowest of 70s psych rock, but their release schedule is also—to say the least—chilled out, with only two studio albums out since their formation in 2012. Their latest release is 2021's Endless Searcher, made seven years after their self-titled debut and doubling down on their classic hard rock influences. The line-up closes out with Krakow-based stoner/doom band Eye of Void, who have been around since 2011 and released an eponymous debut album this year.
