Venue description

The Stadtmuseum Berlin Foundation preserves and maintains around 4.5 million objects relating to the culture and history of the city.

On the occasion of changing permanent and special exhibitions, selected objects on different thematic focuses are presented in the museums of the foundation. The diverse history and culture of Berlin is shown in the Märkisches Museum, Museum Nikolaikirche, Museum Ephraim-Palais, Museum Knoblauchhaus, Museumsdorf Düppel and in the Humboldt Forum.

The collection is one of the largest collections of urban and cultural history in Germany. The collected objects are also available to scientific research and other museums on loan.
