Venue description
In 1889, the Stadttheater Cöpenick opened its doors for the first time. The artistic orientation of the theatre is designed for amusing entertainment in the sense of boulevard theatre. However, the original theatre building had to be demolished in the early 1950s due to deterioration and Köpenick no longer had a theatre for many years.
In 1994, regular theatre operations resumed with a total of 131 in-house productions, including 47 fairy tales and puppet shows on the small stage.
