Kraftwerk opens the programme of next year's 14th edition of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. As early as 21 June, you will be able to commune with the musical vision of the future, which has become the present. They inspired Aphex Twin, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, New Order and thousands of other artists. They are still as valid today. Kraftwerk's latest album – 3-D The Catalogue – was honoured with a Grammy award in January. The combination of music, performance and technology makes Kraftwerk's live performances a multimedia work of art. The second headliner was announced to be Skepta – a rapper iconic to the British scene.
An array of artists representing a wide range of genres joins the lineup for the 14th edition of the festival. From the hottest “urban music” names (Gaika), through intriguing experimentalists (Yves Tumor and Fatima Al Qadiri) and techno artists (Bjarki), to electropop stars (Apparat, GusGus, Matthew Dear), nujazz celebrities (Jazzanova) and promising newcomers (The Mouse Outfit, Lisa Morgenstern) – this multi-layered lineup is a perfect complement to the previous Kraftwerk announcement.
