The Pijana Sypialnia Theatre is the largest independent theatre in the country, founded in spring 2012 in Warsaw by actors, dancers, musicians and vocalists. Currently, the group consists of over 100 artists working in the acting section, the drunken Bedroom Philharmonic, the Vocal Group and the "Woda na młyn" dance group. Original performances and concerts performed by the Pijana Sypialnia Theatre are presented in traditional theatre halls, but equally often in surprising post-industrial spaces and in the open air. Pijana Sypialnia has gained the recognition of the audience and publicity with its own cycle "Teatr na leżakach", where the performances are shown in fashionable summer spots. The performances are accompanied by a picnic, festival atmosphere. The series takes place all over the country. Critics and stage art experts value Pijana Sypialnia for its musical culture and original repertoire inspired by forgotten theatrical conventions and folklore. There is talk of a "Pijana Sypialnia phenomenon", "vintage theatre".

The theatre performs at the invitation of hosts of prestigious places and organizers of opinion-forming events, among them are: The International Street Theatre Festival in Cracow, the International Theatre Festival WALIZKA, Zamość Theatre Summer, Old Brewery in Poznań, Concert Studio of the Polish Radio, Arkadia in Warsaw. In the ranking of critics of the "Teatr" magazine summarizing the artistic season 2012/2013, Pijana Sypialnia was awarded twice in the OFF category for the group and for the performance "Wyjowisko". In the 2014/2015 season as many as two performances in two different categories were distinguished in a similar ranking: "Łojdyrydy" as the Best Off Production and "Wodewil Warszawski" as the Best Performance of the Musical Theatre. They have won the main prizes at numerous theatre festivals. In the WARSAWIAKI 2015 plebiscite, organized by CGK Warszawa, the Teatr Pijana Sypialnia won the most votes and thus took first place in the Theatre of the Year category in Warsaw.

The theatre has an acting studio, which conducts theatre workshops for young people and adults. Together with BOOM Bardzo Oryginalna Oferta Marketingowa they are the creators of the Theatre Festival WrzAWA, the first edition of which took place in July 2013 in Warsaw, on the patio of the PAST building.
