The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz

Interdisciplinary theatre performance.

The play depicts a human’s journey for spiritual self-discovery through the alchemical refinement of one’s soul. It originally interconnects recitation, live music, dance, and live painting on painting on the ballerina’s costume. The audience will experience the journey through seven chakras, seven planets, seven days till the Enlightenment – and then back home. Each performance also results in a differently painted ballerina costume.

The performers have much experience with similar projects - the director similarly realised Wagner’s opera Parsifal, the composer Robert Jíša and the ballerina Eliška Kopecká are based in the National Theatre Prague, and the reciters collaborated with the legendary Alfred Strejček.
