Venue description
The City Gallery in Wrocław has been operating since 1991. Established by the City of Wrocław, it serves the presentation of Polish and international art. The Gallery's activities are not limited to the Wrocław area. The entity also promotes Polish art abroad—placing particular emphasis on works by Wroclaw-based artists. It is also involved in publishing; in 2013, it launched the City Gallery Library, which publishes works in the fields of art theory, culture, art criticism and aesthetics. The director of the City Gallery in Wrocław is Mirosław Jasiński, a centre-right politician, art historian, diplomat and documentary filmmaker.
