Oliver Chesler, better known by his stage name The Horrorist, is a legendary American electronic music artist from New York City. He is the owner of the Things to Come Records. Recording music since 1989, he has released over 80 singles and five full-length albums. In 2001 he had a number one hit on the German Dance Charts (DDC) with the song One Night in NYC and in 2004 his album Manic Panic went to Number one on the German Alternative Chart (DAC).
The scope of his music catalog is huge and he has recorded for virtually every major label (Universal, Sony, Warner, Koch, etc.) and all the best-known techno labels (Tresor, Industrial Strength, Neue Heimat, etc.). His subsequent albums Attack Decay (2007) and Joyless Pleasure (2011) have been met with great critical acclaim. His fifth and latest album Separate Dimension, based on both his musical roots in the second half of the 80s with EBM and minimal synth inspirations, has been released in 2019.
