The White Hell of Pitz Palu

On May 25, 2022, the musicians of the Staatskapelle Berlin will perform as Orchestra of Change (Orchester des Wandels) at Kraftwerk Berlin and present Glacier Worlds at the Heizkraftwerk. The silent film The White Hell of Pitz Palu (Germany, 1929) will be musically accompanied by the orchestra of the Staatskapelle Berlin and draws attention to the severely threatened and partially disappeared glacier landscapes. The music is by Ashley Irwin and conducted by Frank Strobel.
The orchestra has been committed to climate and environmental protection for more than ten years and has already organized numerous benefit concerts for the environment.
