About Ivo Dimchev
Ivo Dimchev was born in 1976 and is a choreographer and performer from Bulgaria. In his work he operates on the borders between performance, dance, theater, music, visual arts and photography. He has developed over 30 different performances that have been seen in Europe, North and South America and Asia, and has received numerous international awards. After finishing his master's degree at DasArts University in Amsterdam in 2009, he moved to Brussels, where he opened thePerformanceraum Volksroom, which presents young international artists.
He is also the founder and director of the Humarts Foundation in Bulgaria and organizes an annual competition for contemporary choreography. In addition to his artistic work, Ivo Dimchev has taught at various institutions throughout Europe, including the Academy of the National Theater Budapest, the Royal Dance Conservatory of Belgium (Antwerp), the Bern University of the Arts, and DanceWeb (Vienna).
