Sama Abdulhadi is referred to by some as the "Queen of the Palestinian techno scene", her pseudonym means "heaven" in Arabic. Sama' is a DJ, producer and promoter who started her career in 2006. A few years later, she started organizing parties in Ramallah, a city of 30,000 inhabitants. However, it took ten years for people to understand the genre and the new context. Among the many projects, Sama' collaborates with Israeli-born Palestinian artists, teaches music production and DJing as a means of resistance, and over the years has built an underground community of DJs and artists in the region. Sama' released an EP Life's Pace in 2011 and created a triptych titled Quantum Morphosis. In 2013, she moved to Cairo, where she began working as a music producer for films, and in 2016 founded Awyav, a publishing agency representing independent artists from the Arab world.
