Tiganá Santana Neves Santos (Salvador, December 29, 1982) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, guitarist and poet. He started classical guitar studies at the age of 14 and created his own guitar, which he called a guitar-drum, with its own tuning, texture and disposition. He graduated in Philosophy from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).He studied linguistic structures of the Kimbundu and Kikongo languages, spoken in Angola and Congo. In 2010 he moved to São Paulo. In the same year he released his first CD Maçalê, containing 12 tracks of his own. He also composed songs recorded by Virgínia Rodrigues, who released them on the disc Mama Kalunga, in 2015.
