Concert of Tymoteusz Bies as part of the cycle of Chopin recitals at the University of Warsaw.
Tymoteusz Bies is a 26-year-old pianist, a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he studied in Professor Zbigniew Raubo's piano class. He is a laureate of many prestigious piano and chamber music competitions, including the National F. Chopin Piano Competition, the International Piano Competition "Friuli Venezia Giulia" and the International K. Szymanowski Music Competition. He deepens his knowledge and skills by working in masterclasses with world-renowned pedagogues: Prof. Eugene Indjic, Prof. Andrzej Jasinski, Prof. Kevin Kenner, Prof. Dang Thai-Son and others. In 2018, the pianist's phonographic debut was released, including piano concertos by W.A. Mozart and F. Chopin. In 2019, as the best graduate of his Alma Mater in Katowice, he was honored with the Primus Inter Pares title. In the 2020/2021 artistic season he serves as Artist-in-Residence of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. The artist is represented by Ludwig van Beethoven Association.
