Poznań's Willa Kosmos was formed in 2016; its line-up consists of musicians known from Polish noise rock classics such as Gołębie, Sierść, Melisa and Bezgwiezdnie. They play unsettling, noisy post-punk, with neurotic spoken word and surprisingly catchy choruses. They are signed to the Poznań indie Koty Records, which released their 2020 debut Wszystko będzie dobrze.
Lodz band Kresy debuted last year with the single Bies. They play intense rock music that seems to share a pedigree with the post-Brexit wave of British post-punk, with angular guitar parts in jazz scales and cranky shouted lyrics that would make Mark E. Smith proud. On June 1, their debut EP Lumer was released by the Warsaw indie Peleton Records.
