Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1939, William Eggleston is known for elevating colour photography to the status of fine art. Along with Stephen Shore and Evelyn Hofer, Eggleston was one of the first photographers to recognise the special power of colour and its unique ability to create images that continually challenge the everyday.

With the exhibition *Mystery of the Ordinary', C/O Berlin presents both famous series such as Los Alamos and works that have never been shown before, including images from the series The Outlands and photographs taken in Berlin between 1981 and 1988.
