"The First Transport" exhibition by the controversial poster designer Wojciech Korkuć commemorates the first transport of Polish prisoners to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1940.
The project is a continuation of Wojciech Korkuć’s last year exhibition – 728 – which was a reminder of the first mass transport of Poles – 728 prisoners deported from Tarnów on 14 June 1940 to the Auschwitz concentration camp. The First Transport is a continuation of the visions of an artist, who has been cultivating the memory of this event in public space for a number of years.
