The American pop singer Dorian Electra first came to prominence for novelty songs about liberal economics in the early 2010s before re-emerging in 2017 on the other end of every political and artistic spectrum, coming out as non-binary and becoming a key part of the then-latent hyperpop scene. Retaining their taste for theatrics and philosophy, they released their debut album Flamboyant in 2019 to critical acclaim; they've since followed it up with 2020's My Agenda, a concept album about toxic masculinity and incels through a queer lens, and 2023's Fanfare, exploring contemporary celebrity culture. Electra has collaborated with many of the key figures of hyperpop, including Charli XCX, Sega Bodega, Rebecca Black and Dylan Brady.
