About Vesna
Vesna is an all-female folk band based in the Czech Republic, consisting of five members (three Czech, one Slovak and one Russian). In November 2018 Vesna released their debut album Pátá bohyně (Fifth Goddess), for which they received a nomination for the Angel Award for Discovery of the Year. In autumn 2019, they went on her first club tour #MyaVy in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2023, the band represented the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest, placing 10th with the song My Sister's Crown. This was the second best result for the Czech Republic at Eurovision out of 12 Czech entries.
Musically, Vesna turns to her roots, characterized by dreamy lyrics and combining folklore with pop. Vesna is characterised by a strong visual aspect, which is also reflected in their imaginative costumes.
