About Opera Východ

Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Mykola Lysenko under the name Opera Východ is a collective that organically combines loyalty to the best cultural traditions with a bold search for the most modern form of artistic expression. It is this combination that transforms Opera Východu into a real modern multicultural base in eastern Ukraine. A significant event for the collective was its inclusion in the European Opera Association – Opera Europe (2019). The city of Kharkiv has been a center of music education since 1726.
