Taf Hassam was born in Brighton in 1980. He studied photography and English literature, then moved to Ireland, where he became active in the arts, theater and music scene. In 2005 he went to study fine art in Amsterdam, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, where he earned a bachelor's degree and diploma for artistic research and scientific work.
