The Center for Yiddish Culture was established on the initiative of the Shalom Foundation and today operates within the framework of the Jewish Theatre-Centre for Yiddish Culture. It is an initiative that focuses primarily on the culture and language of Ashkenazi Jews. The CKJ hosts numerous workshops, cultural meetings and the Jewish Open University.
