Das Lumpenpack are touring with their new album Die Zukunft wird groß. Finally being a real band seems to be their motto and so they are only going to play club shows without chairs. Besides, everything stays as it has been before: Songs, jokes, stories – one plays guitar, the other one dances – a concept that has been proven successful.
Das Lumpenpack is a band that enjoys jolly talks between their songs. They call it "concert comedy". One guitar, two voices, a lot of confetti. That might remind of Die Ärzte or Die Doofen, but though the duo's work is too unique for comparisons. Funny, but never cheap, ironic, but never scoffing and snappy, but never abusive. So-to-speak: Thoughtful slapstick. Jonas Meyer's and Max Kennel's third album, Die Zukunft wird groß, was released in 2017.
