Carsten 'Erobique‘ Meyer is his own genre. After every disco revival has gone past him during the last 20 years, it's impossible to express it differently. When Erobique is in town, numerous dance-crazed humans between 18 and 80 are looking forward to sweaty, almost sacred hours full of improvised disco licks and outrageous vocals. As the self-titled, for the moment last disco punk in Germany, he enjoys breaking the monotony of the laptop-DJ-culture and enthusing his fans with diaphoretic dancing marathons with spontaneous ballad numbers and desolately quoted wedding oldies. Releases are rare (Mirau, Acid Jazz, Staatsakt) – his hits (such as Easy Mobeasy, Überdosis Freude) want to be enjoyed live and in color.
