O Infinite Quintet

Infinite Quintet was founded in 2006 on the grounds of the Department of Jazz College of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague, where he met fellow students like trumpeter Miroslav Hloucal and saxophonist Petr Kalfus. The collaboration you have invited bassist Peter Dvorsky, pianist and drummer Viliam Béreš Martin Novak. These five young musicians is also active in many other interesting projects that appear on the Czech and international music scene.

Music Infinite Quintet blends elements of modern jazz, mainstream jazz and European concepts. Infinite Quintet from the very beginning trying to find his own musical language and sound, leaving, however, inspired by recordings of various artists Terence Blanchard, Kenny Wheeler, Chris Potter, Michael Brecker, Avishai Cohen and many others.

Band's repertoire consists largely of Miroslav Hloucal composition, then Viliam Béreš and Petr Kalfus. After two years of its existence, the band took part in several jazz festivals, among them such as: Indian Summer (Prague), Jazz Street (Pilsen), Boskovice, United Islands of Prague International Jazz Festival in Karlovy Vary, Afyon Jazz Festival (Turkey) United Jazz Festival, Jazz Goes to Town, etc. In addition, the band has steadily on the Prague jazz scene.
