About 40 Watt Sun
40 Watt Sun are a British band that formed after the break-up of doom metal outfit Warning. The group's name was inspired by the lyrics of the Marillion song Emerald Lies, which says a little about their artistic direction: there's a lot of neo-proggish escapades and English folk influences (but also dirge-like post-metal passages). 40 Watt Sun originally operated as a trio: Patrick Walker (vocals, guitar), Christian Leitch (drums) and William Spong (bass); currently, Patrick Walker is the group's sole member. Together with guest musicians, he recorded the album Perfect Light, which premiered in January 2022 on Svart Records.
