Neli Andreeva is a renowned folk singer, soloist and choirmaster of the Philip Koutev Folklore Ensemble and has also been artistic director of the Nousha vocal formation. Fans of Bulgarian folk music invariably associate her name with the song Malka moma (Little girl) which has come to be her calling card. The song was written by Neli Andreeva herself and Georgi Genov, conductor of the Philip Koutev Folklore Ensemble. The video has been watched in the social networks by millions of fans from all over the world. A national TV company from Japan even came to Bulgaria to make a film about the story of the song. Neli has recorded several albums. She has been composing songs for years and often writes lyrics. That is how the idea for The only one, her most recent album, came about.
