Pavel Zlamal acquired musical education in the clarinet gradually to art school in Czech Lipa Conservatory in Teplice, Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Currently a PhD program Janáček Academy of Music with a focus on modern, contemporary and experimental music. As a clarinetist participated in international competitions (Prague Spring, Geneve, Markneukirchen, Uusikaupunki, Padova), master classes (Charles Neid, Jose-Louis Estellas, Henri Bok, Kari Kriikku, David Howard …). His clarinet virtuoso repertoire includes songs of composers such as: WAMozart, CMvonWeber, L.Spohr, Carl Nielsen, Jean Francaix, John Corigliano, Magnus Lindberg, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Edison Denisov, Franco Donatoni, Luciano Berio, Valentino Bucchi, Claudio Ambrosini, John Adams, Pierre Boulez, Bruno Mantovani, Igor Stravinsky and others. Saxophone, among others honed at the Academy in Helsinki (Timo Lassy) and JAMU (Rostislav Fras), the participant jazz and experimental workshops and workshops.
Pavel Zlamal is a member of the orchestra of the National Theatre in Brno, also cooperates with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra of Brno City Theatre. He performs with various bands of popular and jazz music, is a permanent member of The Fireballs, The Giant Peach, BSideBand, also collaborated with Gustav Brom Big Band, included in the kit international improvisational orchestra ÖNCZkekvist. Is the leader of their own projects: avant / jazz combo Next Phase, experimental wind-Ensemble 308, experimental / impro New Decent Orchestra. As an improviser featured Pavel Zlamal among others with Hillary Jefferey, Nicolas Collins, Rod Paton, Peter Graham, Hanus Axman, George Cremaschi or Will Guthrie.
