SAVVY Contemporary

Savvy Contemporary e.V. was founded in 2009 by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung. Nowadays, the team consists of about 15 curators, artists and cultural managers from 10 different countries. Savvy understands itself as an art space, discursive platform, place for good food and good drinks, Njangi house and place for hospitality. A key topic of the initiative is the dialogue between Western and non-western art, the mission statement is characterized by the idea of hospitality and sharing. In the same time, Savvy tries to answer questions such as ‚What can artistic science mean in the contemporary?‘ or ‚How can a non-linear art history be reconstructed?‘ in a socioanthropological dialogue.

Within this framework numerous exhibitions, performances, workshops and lectures are taking place.
