An explosive jazz band from Japan. Its five members combine the highest level of musicality with the trendiest sounds and intriguing atmosphere, while charming audiences with energetic live performances. They’ve been playing together since 2001. Their take on jazz assumes sharp and distinctive edges, entertainment untouched by any scruples, and maintaining the boiling temperature. Soil & „Pimp” Sessions are Gilles Peterson’s personal favourites, who often present their skills at the world’s greatest festivals, including Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, Roskilde and many others.
