At the tram depot in Prague-Střešovice there is a unique collection of artifacts from the history of public transport in the capital of the Czech Republic. The permanent exhibition "Museum of public transport in Prague" was opened in May 1993 by Prague Public Transit Company. For public there are presented more than forty historical vehicles and many other exhibits - models, photographs, historical documents, tickets, maps.

Not separable part of the exhibition is a permanent exhibition about the history of public transport in Prague. It was initiated by the cooperation of the Historical Archive of the Prague City Public Transport Company with a number of institutions: Central State Archive, Prague City Archives even with members of Hobby Centre of City Transport held in Culture House Vltava in Prague 7.

Museum visitors have the opportunity to see unique photographs, copies of historical documents, maps, tickets, as well as video tapes with unique film materials from the National Film Archive. Museum of the Capital of Prague loaned to long-term exposure a set of models of other historical public transport vehicles, which till this day has not been preserved. Company CKD Tatra exhibits at the museum model of fast-railway vehicle R 1, prepared at the beginning of the 70th years for the metro.
