The fourth edition of Warsaw Dark Electro Festival, an event focused on independent electronic music, will take place in the club Progresja on March 30th. The headliner of this edition will be the German band Oomph! After the concerts, an afterparty until the sunrise will commence.
Oopmh! is a German band considered to be one of the pioneers of combining metal and industrial, representative of the “Neue Deutsche Härte“ style. The style of the band changed between the debut album Oomph! from 1992, and then Sperm from 1994 – more guitar and less electronics became an inspiration for many other bands, including Rammstein, which the band emphasized several times. The latest, thirteenth album of the band is Ritual, released in January this year. The album reached number 1 on the German chart Offizielle Top 100, the highest place in the history of the band's releases.
Also performing will be the darkwave Kirlian Camera, Mexican aggrotech band Hocico, Suicide Commando – a Belgian electro-industrial project created by Johan van Roy and the synthpop German act T.O.Y.
