The exhibition Emil Stumpp: Lithographs - Berlin Portraits of the 1920s and 30s is on view at the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Museum.

The painter and draftsman Emil Stumpp (1886-1941) was one of the most important press illustrators of his time in the 1920s and 30s. He portrayed well-known personalities from politics, science, art and society and had his models sign the drawings with their own hands. Stumpp left behind an immense oeuvre of twenty thousand lithographs, countless watercolors, drawings, and several hundred oil paintings.

The exhibition shows a selection of portraits made available by the Kurt Schwaen Archive.
