Fantastic Beasts in Graphic Art from the 15th to the 18th Century

Fantastic beasts, mythical creatures and monsters occupy a place in current children's and young adult literature as well as in fantasy and science fiction films. The Kupferstichkabinett presents around 30 virtuoso prints, engravings and etchings from the 15th to the 18th century in its cabinet in the Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery), which show the delight in inventing the fabulous and the strange.
