J. G. Biberkopf's music spans club, theater and digital radio contexts. His first EP, titled Ecologies, launched the new label Knives, founded by Kuedo and Joe Shakespeare of Motto Books in Berlin. From cyber-ambient and rhythmic constructions to instant trails of web-filtered grime and beatless studies of net phenomenology, Biberkopf's first release was intended as an excursion into representations of nature. A follow-up recording, Ecologies II: Ecosystems Of Excess, was released in full in 2016.
